SIGIL
A sigil is a sign, a device or seal, wrought with esoteric and mystical potential. More simply, a sigil can be understood as a symbol of power. Such seals often bear obscure or invisible patterning. Anyone with the right skills will be able to discern deeper and deeper layers of concealed meaning within its form, in the same way that a well-crafted story can be understood on varying levels.
The Shadow Histories’ sigil is a many-layered device containing clues to the stories that will unfold over six volumes. Some of these secrets are dangerous, things from which humanity needs protecting. Others may be nothing more than simple exercises intended to train an adept mind.
